Sweet shot; Local hits ace, wins car

Max Sweet shot a hole-in-one at the 2008 Ridgemark Men's Club Invitational last Friday, June 6, and drove home in a brand new car as a result, provided by Greenwood Chevrolet.

Sweet hit the ace on hole no. 9 of the Gabilan Course at Ridgemark Golf and Country Club in Hollister. Sweet also won a $250 gift card from American Express, sponsored by Tiffany Ford.



The results from the Men's Invitational are as follows:

Overall Low Gross - 1, Barry Brady/Ian Hudson, 132, $550; 2, Jose Miranda/Jim McCarly, 135, $450; 3, Kuljit Singh/Peter Singh, 136, $350; 4, Gregory Hammons/Eric Hansen, 138, $250.
